Furniture Care Instructions

1. Upholstered Fabrics (Cotton, Linen, & Synthetics)

Routine Cleaning: Vacuum weekly using a soft brush attachment to prevent dust and debris from settling into the fibers.

Spill Response: Blot immediately with a clean, dry white cloth. Do not rub, as rubbing can push liquid deeper into the weave or cause pilling.

Deep Cleaning: For stubborn stains, spot-clean using a mild, water-free solvent or a specialized fabric cleaner. Always test on an inconspicuous area first.

Sunlight Protection: Keep fabric furniture out of direct sunlight to prevent fading and fiber breakdown over time.

2. Leather & Suede

Dusting: Wipe down smoothly with a soft, dry microfiber cloth every few weeks.

Conditioning: Apply a high-quality leather conditioner every 6 to 12 months to maintain flexibility and prevent cracking.

Spill Care: Wipe spills instantly with an absorbent towel. Avoid aggressive household cleaners, saddle soaps, or harsh detergents.

Placement: Keep leather at least 2 feet away from direct heat sources (radiators, vents) and out of direct sunlight to prevent drying and discoloration.

3. Natural Wood Furniture

Dusting: Dust regularly along the wood grain with a soft, lint-free cloth.

Moisture Protection: Always use coasters, placemats, and trivets under hot or cold items to avoid water rings and thermal shock.

Polishing: Apply a quality wood polish or natural beeswax once or twice a year to preserve the finish and nourish the grain.

Spills: Wipe up liquid spills immediately with a slightly damp cloth, followed by a dry cloth.

4. Natural Stone Care

Daily Cleaning: Wipe with warm water and mild, pH-neutral dish soap using a soft microfiber cloth; dry immediately.

Avoid Acids: Never use vinegar, lemon juice, bleach, or harsh scouring pads, as acid will permanently etch the stone.

Prevent Damage: Always use coasters, placemats, and hot trivets—especially under acidic drinks (wine, juice, coffee) and hot items.

Handle Spills Fast: Blot liquid spills immediately with a clean towel; do not wipe or rub, which spreads the liquid into the porous stone.

Periodic Maintenance: Reapply a penetrating marble sealer every 6–12 months to protect against deep stains.

02 / Accessories & decor

Accessory & Decor Care Instructions

1. Glass Vases

Washing: Hand-wash in warm water using mild liquid dish soap and a soft sponge.

Drying: Air-dry upside down on a drying rack or dry immediately with a lint-free towel to prevent hard water spots.

Hard Water Deposits: Fill the vase with equal parts white vinegar and warm water, let it soak for 20 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.

Handling: Avoid abrupt temperature changes (e.g., pouring boiling water into a cold vase) to prevent thermal cracking.

2. Plaster & Ceramic Vases

Dusting: Dust gently using a soft, dry microfiber cloth or a soft-bristled feather duster.

Water Usage: Plaster is porous—do not submerge in water or fill unsealed plaster vases directly with liquid. Use an inner glass liner if displaying fresh flowers.

Spot Cleaning: For unsealed plaster or matte ceramic, lightly dab scuffs with a barely damp sponge. Avoid harsh chemical sprays.

Handling: Always lift plaster and ceramic pieces from the base rather than the rim or handles, as raw plaster can be brittle.

03 / Before cleaning

Keep every treatment gentle.

General Rule: Always test any cleaner or water treatment on a hidden area (such as the underside of a vase or a hidden seam of a sofa) before applying it to visible surfaces!
